.::THE FILM::.

Well, it was only a matter of time before Disney decided to pimp out their next "Hannah Montana" wannabes, The Jonas Brothers. With the success of last year’s Hannah 3D Concert it seems Disney was really banking for the Jonas Bros. to light the box office on fire. That did not happen. Instead, it fizzled out of Theaters and now I get the joy of watching the concert at home.

I'm not really sure there is even a plot to this 'film'. It’s more or less just consists of the Jonas Brothers performing to a live audience over the course of three nights and including the best of those performances here. Are they better than Miley Cyrus? Yes. Do I think kids will even care about them in two years? No. They are a fad and I can only hope they don't take the limelight to their head and focus on going to College because they will be going nowhere soon enough. Why does this film portray them in some Beatles-like fantasy? Do kids even know who The Beatles are and does Disney seem to think they struck gold here? Does anyone remember how big The New Kids on the Block were and how well all of their careers went?

The movie bombing in Theaters is bad enough, but with their recent TV Series also bombing (which now got shuffled to a new night) I hope they take stock of their lives and don't focus 100% on Disney. Luckily Hillary Duff was smart enough to break out of that mold (rejecting offers for another season of “Lizzie McGuire” and/or a spin-off series) and she has more recently been focusing on TV Shows.

More or less my review is just rambling on a bit about how The Jonas Brothers are not that great... but in reality, the same can be said for this film. Its just a concert with backstage footage randomly inserted in showing off how suave and awesome the Joe Bros are. Kids who enjoy their music will love this film and adults will suffer through it.

.::SPECIAL FEATURES::.

This release includes an embossed Slip Cover.

Up Close and Personal (15 Minutes) - Not really a making of... but more or less this is just additional footage of the boys going from place to place. Not all that interesting.

Also included are Two Additional Songs (8 Minutes) and a Digital Copy.

.::AUDIO & VIDEO::.

The Jonas Brothers 3D Concert in presented in 1.78:1. The 2D version on DVD is pretty darn sharp for a concert film. Colors are kept intact but you can tell this was filmed with 3D in mind.

Disney has included an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track for this release. Vocals were strong working really hard to pump the awesomeness of The Jonas Bros through my living room.

.::OVERALL::.

Let’s face it - you're going to be buying this for your kids and not yourself (I'd hope not). So with that said this is likely a title kids will enjoy over and over if they are fans of the Jonas Bros.
