.::THE FILM::.

Warning: SuicideGirls Must Die! is a movie that contains tons of nudity with incredibly hot goth chicks.

Second Warning: This review of SuicideGirls Must Die! is going to basically be me talking about how hot goth girls are in their entirety.

Third Warning: If you donít enjoy hot goth chicks getting hacked up in horror fashion, then donít bother reading on.

Thereís not a lot of explaining that I can do for this type of film. By the way, before I continue this review, it should be noted that this is clearly not meant for anyone under the age of 18 or whatever the R rating is meant for, as though the movie has tons of nudity in it. Did I mention this is basically hot goth chicks running around naked, doing photo shoots, and getting killed off one by one?

The Suicide Girls are a group of girls who are different from the normal beautiful people of society. They have tattoos, piercings, and other things that separate them from the normal society that sucks. The leader of the girls takes the group out to an isolated cabin that is completely devout of all society around it. The cabin is on an island that requires a boat to get anywhere near it, so the girls are doing a photo shoot over the next few days and are meant to have fun.

That is, they have fun until the girls start disappearing one by one. The girls act concerned but the leader of the girls just shrugs it off and acts like one missing girl or ten isnít that much of a big deal. She says that the girls who are missing will just be fired and to move on with the shoots, which the girls do oblige to after some squabbling. Then though, one of the girls finds a tape of one of their friends being slaughtered and they start to freak out as though a killer might be on the island with them. Will the hot goth chicks get off the island or are they doomed?

I loved this film. Yes, Iím bias because of the fact that goth chicks are so insanely hot that itís impossible for me not to notice one walking down the street. Thatís not all though, as this movie is actually pretty decent for a horror film. The movie was recorded without the girlís knowledge that this is a horror film and all their reactions (supposedly) are all real. Their actions, what they say, everything in the movie is supposed to be as real as possible and I honestly believe it. They act pretty rationally and look damn hot the entire time.

In terms of being a horror movie though, the movie fails a little bit towards the end. There are just way too many girls alive at the end when the big reveal happens that this is in fact a horror film and the way the film ends ticked me off a little bit. The revelation didnít really do it for me but their natural fear and reactions did for the most part.

This isnít going to be winning best horror film of the year award from me, but it will win hottest goth chicks ever.

.::SPECIAL FEATURES::.

Rigelís Confession (2 minutes): Rigel talks about her involvement with the cast and how it was her who kept track of what girl was were for horror fashion.

The only other extra is a Photo Gallery of, well, take a guess.

.::AUDIO & VIDEO::.

The movie is filmed mostly with hand-held digital cameras that the incredibly hot goth girls carry around for the filming of the horror movie and the rest of the shots are done with cameras. Color-wise this isnít exactly an eye-popping film, although I will say that flesh tones looked appropriate and I didnít notice any overblown colors for the duration of the movie. The problems I noticed the entire time of the movie though is the fact that there are many scenes that are not only shot at nighttime but look absolutely terrible. There are noise and grain in almost every scene of the movie and normally Iím not this hard on judging a film because of it but the movie suffers because of this issue.

The Digital Surround 5.1 track gets the job done for a horror film on an incredibly low budget, which is surprising to write. I had no issues with not being able to hear the dialogue from the hot goth chicks the entire time. The problem I have is that the film suffers from lack of surround usage and any sort of ďoomphĒ to them. There really werenít any scenes that stood out in terms of surround usage and loud noises were missing from the movie. There were a few scenes that could have sounded better, mainly the killing sequences, but for the most part the track does a decent job for this type of movie.

.::OVERALL::.

SuicideGirls Must Die! is a phenomenal horror film with hot goth chicks running around pretty much naked the entire film. True this is about art and expression and tattoos and such, but we all know itís about hot goth chicks. The technical package is decent but the lack of special features is a real bummer. Fans of the goth world rejoice at a great goth/horror film, and all others will probably not enjoy this to the extent I did.
